What we store, and why

Without an account, your documents live in your browser only. We record anonymous usage events (which features you use, timings, counts) under a random id so we can see what works. No document text is included.

With an account, we store your name and email from Google, your documents so they follow you across devices, a record of each model call (task, tokens, timing, outcome, never the text), and the same usage events attributed to your account.

AI edits. Text you select or ask about is sent to a model provider (Anthropic or OpenRouter, depending on whose key is used) to produce the edit, under our key or yours. It is not used to train models. If you add your own key, it stays in your browser and is sent with each request; we never store it.

Feedback you send is stored with your account or anonymous id. A document is attached only when you tick the box. Suggestions we publish on the ideas board appear without your name.

Retention. Usage events are deleted after 180 days and model-call records after a year. Documents and feedback stay until you delete them.

Your data. From Settings in the editor you can download everything we hold about you as a file, or delete your account, which removes your documents, calls, and events immediately.
