What SecondPen.ai is

A writing tool with an AI assistant. It is offered as an early product: features change, and there will be bugs. We do our best to keep it up and to keep your documents safe, but we do not promise either.

Your writing is yours

You own everything you write here. We claim no rights to your documents. We do not read them except when you send one with feedback, and we never use them to train models. The privacy page says exactly what is stored and for how long.

The AI

Text you select or ask about is sent to a model provider to produce the edit. The result is a suggestion: check it before you rely on it. The included daily allowance runs on our key and may change or pause; your own key, if you add one, is billed by that provider under their terms.

What you agree not to do

• Use the service to break the law, harass people, or produce content that harms others.
• Try to get around the allowance, rate limits, or sign-in.
• Probe, scrape, or load-test the service without asking first.

We can suspend accounts that do these things. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your documents and usage records right away.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost writing, lost time, or any indirect loss from using it. Export your documents whenever you want to keep a copy elsewhere.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so on the patch notes page and at sign-in.
